Explore Canada's capital University!
Carleton University, the next stop in my Around the World in 80 Universities! I think we are on number 4!
Carleton University is located in Canada’s capital city of Ottawa on a campus just minutes from downtown. The campus feels almost like The University of Warwick - if you’ve ever been! It certainly has the campus feel. The campus is next to the World’s largest outdoor skating rink (picture below), well at least during the winter months. The Rideau River freezes over and students, staff and residents use the rink as a way to get around! How cool is that!
I toured the city of Ottawa during my visit to Carleton. If I had to choose one word to describe Ottawa it would be Majestic. The city is similar to London well at least the feel of a capital city, but the roads are bigger and there’s more space to get around. The city is also incredibly clean. The architecture is what makes it majestic, you’ll be walking around and from nowhere you’ll see a building that looks like it belongs in a fairytale. Check out the picture taken from the Canadian Museum of History looking over Ottawa River.
